Effective September 24, 2026. What we collect when you use Intime, why, who else sees it, how long we keep it, and what you can do about it.
The short version
We collect what you put on your profile, the messages you send, and the information the app needs to show you people nearby.
Other members see your profile, and how far away you are only if you choose to show it, in whole miles. Never your exact location.
We don't sell your information, we don't show ads, and there are no advertising or analytics trackers in the app or on this website.
Your face check selfie is looked at by a person and deleted once the check is done.
You can download everything we hold about you, fix it, or delete your account, all from Settings in the app.
When you delete your account, your profile, photos, answers, matches and messages are deleted. We keep a small record of who held the account for one year, for safety reasons explained in section 9.
This summary is here to help. The full policy below is what counts.
1. Who this policy covers
This policy explains how Intime ("we", "us") handles personal information when you use the Intime app, this website (intimeapp.co), or contact us. It applies alongside our Terms of Service. Intime is only for adults in the United States.
2. What we collect
Information you give us
Account details: your email address and/or US phone number, your password (stored only in scrambled, hashed form), and your first name.
About you: your date of birth, your gender, who you'd like to meet, and the age range and distance you're looking within.
Your profile: up to 6 photos, your answers to prompt questions, voice prompts, your bio, and any other details you choose to add, such as height, work, education or lifestyle.
What you do on Intime: the photos and answers you like, the comments you add, Moments you send, people you pass on, matches, and the messages you send in chats.
The face check: the selfie you take so we can confirm your photos show you.
Reports, appeals and support: what you tell us when you report someone, flag something, appeal a decision, or email us.
Your settings: for example your notification choices, whether your city is shown, hidden words, and who can message you.
Information collected when you use the app
Location: if you allow it, your phone's location, so we can show you people nearby and keep up with you when you travel. If you don't allow it, you can choose a city instead. We store coordinates to work out distances; other members never see them (see section 5).
Device information: your phone's model, operating system, app version and language, a push notification token so we can send you notifications, and a random identifier the app creates for itself when it first runs. We use that identifier to stop banned people from coming back with a new account. It isn't your phone's advertising ID or serial number, and we don't read either.
Activity: when you sign in and were last active, and records of what you've done in the app (for example, how many likes you have left today).
Technical logs: your IP address, and the date and time of requests to our servers, which we use for security and to fix problems.
Information from others
Google or Apple sign-in: if you sign in this way, we receive your name and email address from them. With Apple, this may be a private relay address.
App stores: when you buy Intime+, Apple or Google (through the service we use to manage subscriptions) tells us what you bought, when, the price, your country, and whether it renewed, was refunded or cancelled. We never see your card or bank details.
Other members: things other people tell us about you, for example in a report.
3. Sensitive information
Some information on a dating app is sensitive, and several state laws give it extra protection:
Who you'd like to meet can reveal your sexual orientation.
Your precise location, if you allow location access.
Photos of your face, including your face check selfie.
We collect these only with your consent, which you give when you enter them or allow access, and we use them only to run Intime: to show you and others the right people nearby, and to keep members safe. We don't use them to profile you for advertising, and we don't sell or share them for that purpose. You can withdraw your consent at any time by turning off location access, changing your settings, or deleting your account.
We don't create face templates or other biometric identifiers. Your face check selfie is compared with your photos by a person on the Intime team, not by face-recognition software, and it is deleted as soon as they have made a decision. We remove the location data from the selfie file before the reviewer sees it.
4. How we use it
To run Intime: to create your account, show your profile, show you people who match your preferences and distance, deliver likes and messages, and send you notifications.
To keep people safe: to check that photos show the person who owns the account, review reports and flagged content, stop scams and abuse, enforce our Terms, keep banned people from returning, and work with law enforcement when the law requires it or when someone's safety is at risk. Profiles, photos and messages may be checked by people for this purpose, and messages are also checked automatically for signs of trouble, such as requests for money or sign-in codes, or hurtful language.
To handle Intime+: to give you what you paid for, and keep records we're required to keep.
To talk to you: to send sign-in codes and account and safety emails, answer your questions, and, only if you've chosen to get them, send news and offers.
To improve Intime: to understand what works and fix what doesn't, using the information we already have. We don't use outside analytics companies to do this.
To meet legal duties: for example tax records, responding to valid legal requests, and reporting child sexual exploitation as federal law requires.
5. What other members can see
Your first name, age, photos, prompt answers, voice prompts, bio and the other details you add to your profile.
How far away you are, only if you turn on showing your distance, in whole miles, rounded up and never less than one. Never your exact location.
Your city, unless you turn it off in Settings.
Whether you're Verified, and whether you've been active recently.
If you like someone, what you liked and the comment you wrote. If you match, the messages you send them.
If they have Intime+, whether you've read their message.
Anything you send to another member can be saved or shared by them, so please think before sending something you wouldn't want seen elsewhere. If you pause your profile or use Incognito, fewer people will see you. If you unmatch or block someone, they can no longer see your profile or message you.
6. Who we share it with
We share personal information only in these situations:
Companies that run parts of Intime for us. These are service providers bound by contract, and they may use your information only to do that work for us:
Hosting: the servers and storage where Intime runs, in the United States.
Email delivery: sends our emails.
Text messaging: sends sign-in codes by text.
Subscription management: keeps track of Intime+ subscriptions bought through the stores.
Push notifications and app updates: deliver notifications to your phone and keep the app up to date.
Apple and Google: sign-in, app store purchases, and notifications on their phones.
Other members, as described in section 5.
For safety and the law. We may share information with law enforcement, courts or government bodies when we believe in good faith that the law requires it, or that it's needed to prevent harm to someone, to investigate fraud or abuse, or to protect Intime and its members. We report child sexual exploitation to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children, as federal law requires.
If Intime changes hands. If Intime is sold, merged or reorganised, your information may pass to the new owner, who must keep protecting it as this policy says. We'll tell you before that happens.
With your permission, in any other case.
7. What we never do
We don't sell your personal information.
We don't share it for targeted advertising, and there are no ads in Intime.
We don't use advertising or analytics trackers in the app or on this website.
We don't use your photos in advertising outside the app without asking you first.
We don't share your information with other companies for their own marketing.
Because we don't sell or share information for advertising, there is nothing to opt out of. We still treat a Global Privacy Control signal from your browser as a request to opt out.
8. This website
intimeapp.co doesn't use tracking cookies or analytics. It stores a couple of small settings in your own browser, such as whether you've already seen the opening animation and closed the notice at the bottom of the page. Those never leave your device. Our server keeps ordinary technical logs of visits (IP address, page, time) for security, and the pages load their fonts from an outside font service, which sees your IP address when it sends them.
9. How long we keep it
While you have an account, we keep your information so the app can work.
When you delete your account, your profile, photos, answers, voice prompts, matches and messages are deleted from Intime straight away. They leave our backups within 30 days, as the backups roll over.
A record of who held the account, such as the name, email address and phone number, is kept for one year after deletion and then removed. It holds no photos, messages or location. We keep it because someone harmed by a member often reports it after that member has deleted their account, and the police ask us who it was.
Reports about you, and a copy of the content that was reported, may be kept after your account is deleted so safety concerns can still be dealt with.
Your face check selfie is deleted as soon as a decision is made.
Information about suspected child sexual exploitation is kept for at least one year, as federal law requires.
Purchase records are kept for as long as tax and accounting law requires.
A banned account's device identifier is kept to stop the same person returning.
Technical logs are kept only as long as they're useful for security and fixing problems.
10. How we protect it
Everything between the app and our servers travels encrypted (HTTPS). Passwords are stored only in hashed form. Access to member information is limited to the people who need it to run and moderate Intime, and every action they take in our tools is recorded. Photos are rebuilt from the picture alone when they're uploaded, so hidden details such as where a photo was taken are removed. No system is perfectly secure, so we can't promise that information will never be accessed without permission. If a breach affects you, we'll tell you as the law requires.
11. Your choices
See and download your information: Settings, then Download my data.
Correct it: edit your profile and settings at any time.
Delete your account: Settings, then Delete account.
Location: turn off location access in your phone's settings, and choose a city instead. Hide your city from your profile in Settings.
Be seen less: pause your profile, or use Incognito with Intime+.
Notifications: change them in the app or in your phone's settings.
News and offers by email: use the unsubscribe link in any of them, or the switch in the app's notification settings.
12. Your rights under state law
Depending on where you live, laws such as the California Consumer Privacy Act and similar laws in Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Utah, Texas, Oregon and other states give you rights over your personal information. We give these rights to every Intime member, wherever in the United States they live:
to know what personal information we collect, use and share, and to get a copy of it in a form you can take elsewhere;
to correct information that's wrong;
to have your information deleted;
to opt out of the sale or sharing of your information, targeted advertising, and profiling that has legal or similarly significant effects. We don't do any of these;
to limit how sensitive information is used, and to withdraw consent you've given;
not to be treated differently for using any of these rights.
Most of these you can do yourself in the app (section 11). For anything else, email [email protected] from the email address on your account, or tell us the phone number on it. We'll check it's really you before acting, and we'll reply within 45 days. You may use an authorised agent, who will need your signed permission. If we turn down your request, you can appeal by replying to our answer with "Appeal" in the subject line. If you're still unhappy, you can contact your state's attorney general.
California residents: in the last 12 months, we have collected the categories of information described in section 2: identifiers, personal characteristics, commercial information (purchases), internet and device activity, location, audio and visual information (photos and voice prompts), and sensitive information (section 3). We collected them from the sources and for the purposes described in sections 2 and 4, and disclosed them only to the recipients in section 6. We have not sold or shared personal information for advertising, and we have no actual knowledge of selling or sharing information about anyone under 16. We don't disclose personal information to others for their direct marketing.
13. Children
Intime is only for adults 18 and over. We ask for your date of birth and don't let anyone younger sign up. If we learn that a person under 18 has an account, we close it. If you believe a minor is using Intime, please report the profile in the app or email [email protected].
14. Where your information is kept
Intime's servers are in the United States, and your information is stored and handled there. Some of the companies in section 6 may process information in other countries; when they do, they are bound to protect it.
15. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy in an important way, we'll tell you in the app or by email before the change takes effect. The date at the top of this page shows when it last changed.
