Not a badge that says "safe", but specific things the app does, and what happens when someone breaks the rules.
The face check compares a selfie with your photos. A person on our team does it, not software, and the selfie is deleted afterwards. Change most of your photos and you'll be checked again.
Nobody sees where you are. Your distance is hidden unless you choose to show it, and then it is whole miles, rounded up. You can hide your city too.
Phones save where a photo was taken inside the file. Every upload is rebuilt from the picture alone, so nothing else goes with it.
Chats are checked automatically for warning signs, such as requests for money or sign-in codes, pressure to move off the app, and hurtful language.
Turn on verified-only messages, and only people who have passed the face check can start a chat with you.
Every conversation has safety tools, and the Safety Center has a guide, tools and places to get help, always a tap away.
Open a profile or a chat and tap the menu to report. You can report the whole person, or just one photo, answer, voice prompt, bio or message, so we see exactly what the problem is. The person you report isn't told who reported them.
Every report is reviewed by a person, and we aim to do it within 24 hours. Reports that involve someone's safety go to the front of the queue.
If they've already unmatched you, look in the Safety tab. Past matches stay there with a copy of what was said, so you can still report someone who disappeared.
Block anyone at any time from their profile or your chat. It's instant and they aren't told. After that, neither of you will see the other in Discover, in Likes or in a conversation.
It depends on how serious it is. We may remove content, give a warning, limit what someone can do, suspend an account for a time, or ban it for good. Threats, violence, scams, and sharing someone's intimate images without consent lead to a permanent ban.
A banned person can't simply sign up again with a new email address: we recognise the phone they used, and we keep a record of who held the account.
If we act on your account and you think we got it wrong, you can appeal in the app. A person reviews every appeal, and you'll hear back in the app and by email.
Intime is for adults only. If we find content that sexualises a minor, or any sign of child exploitation, we remove the account, keep the evidence as the law requires, and report it to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children. If you believe someone on Intime is under 18, please report their profile.
Everyone on Intime agrees to these. The full rules are in the app and in section 5 of our Terms.
Law enforcement agencies can send requests about Intime accounts to [email protected]. We respond to valid legal process, and in an emergency involving a risk of death or serious injury we may share information without it.
